Please find attached a leaflet on understanding schemas that a trainee created last year and has kindly given permission to share. This is a very good piece of evidence that demonstrates the trainee’s knowledge and understanding of schemas – what they are and how to support them. This also provides evidence of effective leadership as the trainee was able to distribute these leaflets to her colleagues in addition to the parents of the setting

Many thanks to all of you who have uploaded your completed interim tasks.
It has been really interesting to see which theorists you have chosen to research and it has been wonderful to read how your research has influenced your understanding by making links to practice.
    Very well done everyone!

With regards to the SSTEW it would be valuable to further reflect on your findings and identify one or 2 aspects that could be developed – how would you approach this?

    Have a lovely weekend all!

    HI Sarah ,

Thank you for the interim task – it is great that you have identified the real importance of working in partnership with parents and carers in supporting the formation of secure attachments!

Thank you so much for the interim tasks to date –
We will be exploring attachment theory in some depth during the CPLD days in addition to Schema play.
The SSTEWs are useful in completing audits on a variety of aspects of the environment. Early literacy and reading development are inextricably linked with early language development and are vitally important in supporting children in developing positive future outcomes!

    HI Lauren

You can do the learning walk with one of your colleagues no problem!
It is really just help you make a start on your setting plan – so thinking about how the environment supports learning and development….
    Hope that helps

Visual golden rules are a brilliant way to remind children of appropriate behaviour!

Have any of you heard of the ‘ colour monster’ book?

Fabulous – if the children deep their own golden rules it will also demonstrate how you promote children’s ‘voice’!

Hi Summer – you can use either your own format or I think there is a lesson plan form on the website under ‘resources’ that you could use if you prefer.

    HI Kirsty

Please don’t worry if you can’t make the zoom meeting – it’s really a ‘keeping in touch meeting’ , to say hi and see how you are all doing! ( And to see all your beautiful faces!).

I’m going to try and organise another keeping in touch zoom in early June!

    Take care of yourself,

    Nicky x
