Kay DkaydimelowParticipantThank you Holly – they have been checked and will be returned to you via email for inclusion in your portfolio early next week.
Kay DkaydimelowParticipantI know – part of the difficulty is remembering what each name means and translating that into sounds. but well done!
Kay DkaydimelowParticipantHi Hayley – thank you – the phonics audits have been checked and Kay B will return them to you via email for inclusion in your portfolio.
Kay DkaydimelowParticipantThank you Joley – they will be returned to you by KD for inclusion in your portfolio.
Kay DkaydimelowParticipantHi Joley – me again I have suggested where you might use them in the comments.
Kay DkaydimelowParticipantHi Joley – thank you for your reflective log and phonics audit – they have been checked and commented on and Kay B will be returning them to you for inclusion in your portfolio.
kaydimelowParticipantHi Holly – the trainees I’m mentoring are think about it and reading round the theme. Julie Fisher – Interacting or Interfering is a good place to re-visit, to remind you of how she analyses what she sees/hears. Also look at the marking criteria in your trainee handbook as you prepare to write.
Kay DkaydimelowParticipantHi Arlene really good idea and helpful to everyone as it is some time before we meet for CPLD 6.
Thank you
KDkaydimelowParticipantHi Joley – It is good to see how you build in/plan for aspects of the EYFS whilst all taking place in in your outdoor environment. It is a really good open-ended task that lends itself to being extended and for the children to take in many directions. You will also be able to observe/assess their progress and development in the Prime areas. Can the children create their own pebble creatures? I would really like to see your woodland area.
Kay DkaydimelowParticipantThere is a really good book,
Schemas: A Practical handbook, written by Laura England.
It explains the theory but has chapters on the different schemas which contain practical ways of supporting children in schema – using everyday things.
Kay DkaydimelowParticipantWow Hayley – you are really accommodating their repeating patterns of trialing what objects do, in different environments and providing really rich resources for continued exploration and experimenting. Have you been able to share what you are observing with parents at all- I wonder if the children continue the kind of play you are observing in your room at home.
Kay DkaydimelowParticipantHi Nicky – so sorry for this late response and so good to see your reflective log on Piaget. You are a very expereinced practitioner and it is good to read that you feel you can learn apply the theory in your work to guide your thinking to help you to get to know your new children and the stage of development that they are at.
Kay DkaydimelowParticipantNasen produce some excellent material. I have printed myself a copy thank you for uploading and sharing it
Kay DkaydimelowParticipantHI Nicky – thak you for uploading Development Matters. I will upload the Sept 2020 revised devlopment matters to have alongside it.
I think other trainees will benefit from your planning template as it prompts more than just ‘the activity’.
