It feels good to be getting on top of things and catching up after joining the course a bit late. Attached is my Iterim Task Day 1. I looked at Piaget.

Here is my SSTEW. I decided to do one for inside my setting and one for the woodland where I am predominately based. I missed CPLD Day 1, but looked over the tasks submitted here to get an idea.

I highly recommend poking fairy lights through the top of the cardboard boxes, also I’ve hung colourful long socks or thick ribbons (at a non strangling length!) too, it creates a really sensory environment. Even a torch attached to the top to create a spotlight in the bottom of the box which creates a lovely small world enveloped opportunity . Ideas for trajectory Schema, I’d definitely recommend targets! Buckets, hoops and the children love painting targets and hanging them up. Paper planes are good too, as they rarely hurt and you have to put a lot of force behind throwing them which can be very satisfying, especially if you have any children throwing with aggression. Absolutely love facilitating schema planning and play!

Definitely! – ‘spiky’ is one of the laminated words and for display and we’ve recently purchased new fabrics that we can use to explore the sensory aspects. Works well with some of the actions and words I’ve developed for the itchy itchy ivy, spiky spiky holly and eek stinging nettles in teh woodland area!!

What a great ‘quick guide’. Looking forward to looking at this in more detail.

I’d really recommend the resources on this site https://livespiffy.co.uk/

Not only great for ideas for early years, but wonderful gifts too.

Thank you for this, I think this is so important especially at the moment, where I think our instincts are to shield, protect and probably do more for our children than we usually would. Ultimately, adults resilience is being out to the test like never before!
