    Following on from yesterday, I’ve attached some pictures of us using real tools at our setting. We are about to venture into having a dedicated outside workshop for this, which is exciting and will mean that the activities can be more child lead.

    How fabulous. I’m a fan of the ‘helping-peg’ too.
    One of my earliest memories is of playing at the workbench in preschool hammering nails. (I doubt the 80’s had today’s levels of risk assessment.)

    Wow Joley that looks amazing.
    Our children enjoy hammering golf tees into objects using small wooden hammers. We usually use seasonal vegetables that are past there best for example pumpkins or marrows.

    Yes! Holly we love the golf tees too! we wrap up polystyrene… its a great way to introduce tools and sometimes reassure some parents that the children have had ‘training!’ 🙂 Also,I love the golf tees – it’s so therapeutic!

    Yes, we often find that adults really enjoying the activity to!
