Here is my SSTEW. I decided to do one for inside my setting and one for the woodland where I am predominately based. I missed CPLD Day 1, but looked over the tasks submitted here to get an idea.

It feels good to be getting on top of things and catching up after joining the course a bit late. Attached is my Iterim Task Day 1. I looked at Piaget.

Thank you Lucy for the reflection on Vygotsky – you have clearly identified how this theory underpins effective practice.

Thank you Joley for the SSTEW – really interesting to do 2 of them and see what differences there are – I found it fascinating that staff are not so confident in singing and rhyming – I wonder how you could support your colleagues confidence in this aspect?

I am working on it! It does tend to be the younger members of staff, and sometimes my larger than life renditions of songs about birds probably seem a little embarrassing. I think it comes down to staff dynamics, I’m sure their confidence will grow and I’m happy to role model as I think its really important that they feel comfortable about playing with language and storytelling without always having the structure of a book or a well know song. Especially of course in the outside environment where you don’t always have all the resources to hand when you are planning in the moment.
