Hello everyone,

I hope you’re all well 🙂

For my change project I am focusing on outdoor play for babies. Please could you share any pictures of your outdoor provision for babies and how the babies in your setting access the outdoors?

HI Rosie ,

My advice would be to look at developing sensory experiences in the outdoor area – going for a walk with the babies , playing with bubbles, water play/ sand play / sensory garden. You might find it helpful to research the Scandinavian approach to early years education — they use the outdoor environment substantially to build children’s strength , resilience and ability to take risks.
