    Ideas from my group today:

4.2: evidence of communication with parents e.g. transcripts; evidence of ‘In the moment planning’; photos of the provision – before and after tweaks/changes in response to children’s interests
4.3: how you approached home learning (particularly in lockdown) – the daily challenges and platforms that were used
    4.5: redacted appraisals/supervisions

I actually went on the in the moment planning training last year with Anna Ephgrave which I found amazing! I have the powerpoints from the training that I think would really help for this standard if anyone is unsure of ITMP.

I have used ‘In the moment’ planning both in my previous and current setting and can really see the benefits to the children compared to other planning strategies. It will be really interesting to have a look through these slides, thank you!

I used in the moment planning when I was working with a special needs child, I would adapt one to one activities to help him engage in his learning. (4.2)

I haven’t used the ‘in the moment planning’ before, so thanks for sharing the slides. I will have a look through them.

    Hello everyone!

Just some ideas from what I did last year for my evidence:

    – I reflected on the SEND support in my setting and implemented visual timetables in all environments. This then progressed to implementing social stories – with photos of the children themselves washing their hands to brake down the set-by-set process.
    – My setting mentor observed me working with a small group of children of different ages and I then reflected on how I had to adapt my practice to support them all.
    – I held a discussion with a practitioner that works with a different age group so we could compare and analyse how we support early mathematics differently.
